The eyes of the wizard
Ojos de Brujo it's an excelent name for a band who successfully attempts to create a musical world of magic. Last week, during the 8th Annual Latin Grammy Awords, in Las Vegas, their album "Techarí" was rewarded for Best Flamenco Album. It didn't surprised me. This band from Barcelona uses traditional flamenco as a foundation, but also incorporates modern elements such as hip-hop, funk, salsa or reggae.
Their live shows have become the stuff of legend, and they have left a path of sold-out shows and stunned audiences worldwide.
One of my favourite Ojos de Brujo's videos is "Tiempo de Solea", animated by a staff of spanish artists in 2003.

O teu blogue é surpreendente. As coisas que tu sabes e que nos ensinas. Deixo o meu olá aqui junto aos Ojos de Brujo de quem também sou fã. Muito curiosa a inspiração "art-nouveau" da capa do último Techari. Há duas semanas estive em Madrid e pude visitar uma exposição de Alphonse Mucha, onde certamente este ambiente foi buscar a sua inspiração.
